Woodstock School, in Mussoorie, north India, has educated generations of Indian and expatriate students since its foundation in 1854. This site has been established to enable alumni to post their stories, reminiscences and photos for everyone to share.
Many of the stories we are posting here were contributed at the time of the Woodstock 150th anniversary celebrations, and collected by Deirdre Straughan '81, with a view to the publication of a book of history. This project could not be completed, but we hope that those who sent their material will be happy to see it used in this format.
If we have used any of your material and you don't wish it to appear in this form, please contact us and we will withdraw it.

How to contribute
If you wish to contribute to this site, here are some basic hints:
- To add a page for your new story, please check the instructions under How to edit pages on the left of the screen.
- To edit a page, go to the page and click the Edit button. You can change everything in the main area of your page. The Wikidot language is easy to learn but powerful.
- You can attach images and other files to any page, then display them and link to them in the page. Use the Files link at the bottom of the page. After you have uploaded your file, the info link will give you the URL to paste into the code (using the Image Wizard in the editing view).
- Every Wikidot page has a history of edits, and you can undo anything. So feel secure, and experiment.
- The license for this Wikidot site has been set to Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. Whatever you post here is in the public domain as per the terms of that licence.
- If you want to learn more, make sure you visit the Documentation section at www.wikidot.com
We hope you enjoy using Wikidot. If you want to discuss Wikidot, there's an active community of Wikidot enthusiasts where you can share tips and ideas.
